Tell the Regina City Council: Stop the ban on weed and pest control products

The Regina City Council is set to take the next step in banning all traditional weed and pest control products on public and private land. This means you lose the right to make choices for you, your family, and your property.

A small but vocal minority is pushing for this ban. When used properly, these weed and pest control products are safe and effective – years of scientific research confirms this.  Regina City Council must rely on data from Health Canada and the will of the majority to make their decision. Please send an email to your Councilor and the Mayor.

We must make our voices heard. These products are essential to protecting our homes and running our businesses. Take action now. Send an email to your city councillor and tell them: Stop the pest control ban!

For more information on pest control products for your lawn please visit Health Canada at www.hc-sc.gc.ca and search “Healthy Lawns”.

Sample Message

Dear Councillor [Name],

As a resident of Regina, I’m writing to express my opposition of the potential weed and pest-control product ban that is being discussed at City Council.  Without exception, these products have been approved by Health Canada and are important for the protection and maintenance of my property.

I do NOT support a ban on pest control options for private or public property. Please allow me to make decisions for my property and my family.

Follow the science in your decision. Listen to the majority of Reginans that want healthy places to live and work!

Best regards,
