Dear Colleagues,

We are very privileged to see the Saskatchewan Green Industry finally growing. The SNLA is looking forward to growth in membership brought about by the many new faces offering landscape services in Saskatchewan. We are also seeing previous members grow and succeed once again in the industry they love. Some have come back to the association and we welcome them.

I encourage all businesses reading this message to learn from each other. Do not treat each other as despised competitors, but rather as valued colleagues. The better we are at our profession, the more value the public will place on our profession. Too often we get caught up competing for work blindly, only to have the lowest bidder end up with all the work, but also the failure, the headache, and the financial loss due to lack of knowledge of how to successfully follow their passion for the Green Industry. And in the end, it is the industry that ends up with the bad reputation, not just the one contractor.

Working together through the SNLA, a small but growing association, we can raise the bar for each other.

The purpose of any association is to work toward common goals. These are summed up in our Vision and Mission Statements

Our Vision

Our vision is that the landscape and nursery industry of Saskatchewan be an example of professionalism and integrity, a leader in environmental improvement, and recognized as a provider of quality goods and services to our communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be an effective organization that will promote our vision by providing our members with opportunities to improve their practices and by addressing their issues and needs to the benefit of the industry through our own efforts and by working with other associations, both provincial and national.

I wish you a year of success and growth,

Sincerely,

Aaron Krahn

Code of Conduct

Members of the Saskatchewan Nursery Landscape Association are expected to observe the code in spirit as well as in letter. The code outlines the most important standards of ethical and professional conduct by which members are expected to abide at all times in their day-to-day activities. It is by maintaining this code that we can strive to achieve our vision.
